Sinclair Ashman

Sinclair Ashman has been a part time lecturer on the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course here at the Lincoln School of Art since 2009. Alongside his teaching commitments he runs Reverse Design, a brand creation and development consultancy based in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Man Group: annual report design

_

Sinclair has worked for some of London’s most prestigious corporate communications consultancies, including Sampson Tyrrell (now called The Brand Union), Addison and Corporate Edge. From the mid-nineties to the mid-noughties he specialised in designing corporate literature for clients such as Avis, Euronext, Rolls-Royce, Severn Trent and Tesco. He has also created ‘brand windows’ for the London headquarters of drinks giant Diageo, plus websites and online marketing for Shell, Tomorrow’s Company and the Man Booker Prize for fiction.

London Business School: European award-winning corporate literature

_

In 1997 he won a European design award for the London Business School annual report and was responsible for designing Europe’s largest corporate literature project, the Shell annual reporting suite in 2003-4. This comprised nine publications in English and Dutch, over two years.

Sinclair started Reverse Design in 2009 and now creates and develops brands for niche professional services and wholesale/retail clients in the East Midlands and Yorkshire areas. Some say he’s a decent photographer, his abstract landscape images having been exhibited in galleries in London, Suffolk and Sussex.
