This week, for the final Chitter Chatter talk of the series, we saw the return of yet another successful Lincoln graduate from 2008 – Matt Mear, who along with his colleague Tom McQuillin from Landor Associates gave an inspiring talk.
Matt seven L’s took us through his design career journey (so far) from Lincoln to Landor – where he is now Studio Manager.
Tom then gave his Top Tips to getting a foot in the door, and more importantly how to keep a foot in the door. One piece of advice they suggested everyone should heed and is based on a Grayson Perry quote is: BE NICE, TURN UP ON TIME, PUT IN THE HOURS and remember nobody respects a clock watcher!
They concluded the talk with information about Landor and it’s grad scheme, as well as sharing some insights into studio life such as Valhaller, Captain Culture and Naked Lunch!
Questions from the audience were rewarded with Landor goodie bags. Many thanks again to both Matt and Tom for an uplifting talk.
