Nice to meet you!
The third years decided to throw a Meet & Greet social, to get to know as many people as we could across all three years. The aim was to de-stress from the course & the pressures of University, get passed the shy stage with one another & mingle with other years. We also wanted to say hi to the first year students.
We want to gain trust from all year groups, as throughout the year we will be putting on lots of other events, one of which is Chitter Chatter, a series of talks inviting designers to speak about their practice. RGB is another, the events are set up in order to fundraise for the all-important degree show at the end of the academic year which will be called show sixteen.
I was genuinely surprised to see how many people would turn up and how many first years came. It was a good start in getting to know people from other year groups. There is a lot of work to be done still and RGB is in the near future so watch this space.
